    - Spend approximately 8 hours supporting Camp RYSE staff training (June 27th and 28th)
    - Spend approximately 4 hours per day, (Monday - Friday, July 1 - August 2), supporting the successful implementation of Camp RYSE programming, observing literacy and STEM lessons delivered by counselors, and providing constructive feedback

    - Provide ongoing mentorship and support to counselors, offering guidance on instructional strategies, classroom/behavior management techniques, and ways to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

    - Collaborate with Camp RYSE directors and counselors to adapt curriculum materials as needed to meet the diverse needs of refugee youth

    - Support the collection and analysis of student outcome data to evaluate the effectiveness of Camp RYSE programming (pre- and post-program literacy assessments, student growth narratives, surveys)

    - Work closely with Camp RYSE leadership to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for enhancing student learning

    *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    - Experience as a K-12 educator, with a strong background in literacy and/or STEM education (required)

    - Bachelor's degree in education, STEM, or related field (preferred)

    - Experience working with multilingual student populations, including refugee or immigrant youth

    - Demonstrated ability to provide effective feedback and support to peers and mentees

    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

    - Knowledge of best practices in curriculum, assessment, and culturally responsive teaching

    - Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in education

    - Arrive on time each day and support Senior Counselor with preparing materials, equipment, and resources needed for daily lessons and activities

    - Provide support to Senior Counselors in delivering literacy and STEM sessions and enrichment activities

    - Provide individualized assistance and support to campers with learning barriers, ensuring they have equal opportunities to participate and succeed

    - Contribute to Camp through energy, leadership, and participation in daily “All Camp Circle,” full camp activities, snack and lunch coordination, and other enrichment

    - Serve as a positive role model for campers, demonstrating enthusiasm, patience, and empathy in all interactions

    - Help maintain a positive and orderly learning environment

    - Assist with daily cleaning tasks, including tidying up classrooms, organizing materials, and maintaining cleanliness in shared spaces

    *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    - At least 15 years old (RYSE is transitioning toward a staffing model with a minimum age of 16 for Junior Counselors, but this year we will accept applications from candidates who are 15+)

    RYSE is hiring two Co-Directors for the Refugee Youth Power Movement (RYPM) Summit! Please review the full position description Here and APPLY TODAY!

    *General Overview:
    - Overseeing the planning, coordination, and evaluation of RYPM Summit 2024 with RYSE’s Executive Director (ED), Board of Directors, and volunteers

    - Developing and managing the daily RYPM schedule and program activities, including the workshop topics, daily activities, and weekly field trips

    - Recruiting, hiring, and coordinating skilled facilitators to lead program workshops

    - Designing and leading program activities as needed

    - Developing and implementing “Growth Plans” that guide youth in developing individual and community goals

    - Building relationships and communicating with families and community partners to recruit and enroll 25 high-school-aged participants

    - Coordinating transportation and meals

    - Implementing the RYSE Behavior Management policy

    - Ensuring adherence to health and safety rules/procedures

    - Promoting and supporting fundraising efforts for programmatic costs

    - Supporting purchasing and financial reporting in accordance with RYPM budget

    - Attending a post-program debrief and supporting the ED with the development of a post-program annual report

    *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    - Passion and enthusiasm for education, leadership, and working with youth

    - Deep knowledge of (or willingness to learn about) the refugee community in RI

    - Preferred prior youth leadership, youth development work, and/or relevant program leadership

    - Excellent coordination and/or project management skills

    - Excellent communication skills, including professional communication and communication with English Language Learners of all ages

    - Excellent organizational, collaborative, and group facilitation skills

    - Works well in a team environment and independently

    - Thinks critically and makes decisions in a fast-paced environment

    - Conduct research and synthesize findings on metrics-based non-profit social media strategies for nonprofits similar to RYSE and make recommendations for RYSE to implement

    - Assist in the implementation of research based recommendations through creating and scheduling social media content across various platforms

    - Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and stay informed about the latest social media trends, tools, and practices

    - Analyze social media analytics and provide insights to optimize content performance

    - Ensure that RYSE’s social media presence maintains consistency with the RYSE mission and values while maintaining a cohesive visual identity

    - Support RYSE with the development of a sustainable Strategic Communications Plan
